Positioning Atlantis The Palm, Dubai as an iconic landmark and a modern wonder of our time, told the story of The Birth of an Icon, a grand opening celebration unlike any other before. The invitation included a meticulously detailed taffeta-lined box containing hand-crafted gold and crystal miniatures of Atlantis The Palm together with the Eiffel Tower, Taj Mahal and other structures of renown. The invitation was hand-delivered to 2,500 guests around the world. Supported by an “unlimited” budget, the event has been called “the most spectacular opening of our time.” The celebratory fireworks, the most ambitious display of its kind, were visible from outer space.
